NewKernel is the attempt to upgrade the NT kernel base by including modern kernel principles as well as adding a compatibility layer that allows to run apps from other operating systems. It includes 50% of OpenKernel as well as newer stuff like ELF integration, etc.

Folder Structure

Both NewKernel and OpenKernel have their own directories like newkernel\ and openkernel\. Some OpenKernel stuff would be in newkernel\op, but it's subject to change in newer releases. As of now, NewKernel and OpenKernel have appeared in the newest vNext reboot as well as new quality-of-life fixes.
